Product Information
A complete kit that comes with all the parts you will need to successfully replace your BMW's leaking valve cover gasket
Over the course of countless heating and cooling cycles your BMW's valve cover gasket will begin to leak. Normally, this oil leak can be seen on the side of the engine block and you will smell it. Replacing the valve cover gasket on an N52 engine requires replacement of the mounting hardware. In addition, it's also a good idea to replace the VANOS actuator gasket and Valvetronic shaft gasket as these are also known to leak.
Please note: Chemical sealants are not required when installing a new valve cover gasket on an N52 engine. Be sure to clean all sealing surface before installing the valve cover. DO NOT use any abrasives to clean the sealing surface. The valve cover screws must be replaced. Use the screws included with the kit and torque to 7Nm (~62 in lbs) + 90°. The Valvetronic motor is torqued to 9Nm.
