The GEN-Y HITCH Mega Duty 16K Drop Hitch with a 7.5" drop is a fully adjustable trailer hitch perfect for anyone with multiple vehicles or a range of trailers and other hitch-mounted accessories. The 16K, 7.5" drop version comes in a 2" shank, making it the right hitch for any application, especially lifted light trucks. Adjusting the height is extremely easy, simply remove the pin and move the ball mount to the desired height. GEN-Y HITCH has tested its Mega Duty Drop Hitch for use in the rise position as well, providing greater versatility.

In 2008, when Carl Borkholder was working with a tree service company, he had the idea of creating a universal hitch that could attach any trailer to a truck at any ride height. He welded together a prototype adjustable drop hitch, and GEN-Y HITCH was born. Its patented Torsion-Flex technology was developed shortly after to eliminate the harsh bouncing and jerking experienced when towing a trailer. GEN-Y HITCH also produces other accessories such as aluminum ramps, tow hooks, hitch steps, and trailer anti-theft locks, all of which are made in-house with the same meticulous manufacturing processes as its hitches.
