Most US market cars after 1984 transitioned from sealed beam headlights to headlight assemblies. A headlight assembly generally consists of a headlight housing, lens, mounts, adjusting units, and a reflector. While some Halogen headlight assemblies may come with bulbs, most HID headlight assemblies do not include bulbs or other electrical units, making it important to check to see what is included before ordering. A good condition headlight assembly is important for both night time visibility as well as good vehicle aesthetics.

• Cracked, delaminating, or damaged lens: The headlight assembly is mounted at the most vulnerable spot on the car. If it becomes broken or damaged by road debris, it should be replaced.
• Condensation: Moisture or condensation inside the headlight assembly indicates a failing seal or crack in the housing.
• Headlight Alignment Issues: If the headlight assembly is damaged, misaligned, or loose, the headlights may not properly focus the light on the road, causing poor visibility.
