Product 9118 DESCRIPTION:
This fully potted, weatherproof module can be wired to ground / kill switch terminal magneto ignition systems to provide a conventional 12V square wave signal which can be utilized by AutoMeter tachometers and RPM activated devices.

Does AutoMeter make a signal converter that would attach to the mechanical tach drive on a Ronco magneto so I can hook up my AutoMeter tach to it.

I have a VORTEX magneto will this signal converter work on all autometer tacho I see some people ask about the coil dont know which one i have and no one can tell me if it will work

Will this adapter work with a Styles internal coil magneto, this mag has only one ground wire coming out of it

Unfortunately the 9118 will not work in your application. It is only designed for use on modern external coil magnetos.

We couldn’t say for sure, but it’s highly unlikely. Our magneto signal converter is specifically designed to operate one of our tachometers on an external coil magneto race ignition, like a Mallory Super Mag or Vertex OXC Mag.

I have an early diesel with an ISSPRO Sensor (ac signal per them). It is a 2 wire sensor and my gauge is a single wire gauge, I'm assuming it grounds through the other gauges. Will this provide a signal for my Tach?

Thank you for your question. The only way to obtain a signal off of a diesel using a non diesel style tachometer from us would be P/N:9112.
