Tech-53 Mk2 Scirocco Pair Of Sunroof Guides

These are the “more than likely why your sunroof is condemned” Mk2 Scirocco tilt and slide sunroof guides. We have developed them with a new and improved design, making the replacement of them, the last time you will ever have to do that job. We have re-engineered the design, thus making both parts that usually break (the guide at the bottom of the shortest slot, and also the second piece that holds the skate, that is held on with a Philips screw) into ONE heavy duty part.

Producing them with a Nylatron roller bearing instead of a skate design, and also using 300 series STAINLESS STEEL, that is CNC machined, not laser cut, for years and years of trouble free service, unmatched corrosion resistance, and unmatched toughness (over 100 000 PSI yield strength). The reason for machining, which is a much more expensive process than laser cutting, is the fact that surface finish inside the two grooves, are more than critical, in the forces needed to operate the sunroof. Pins for the cable, and the roller are also CNC machined, out of high strength 300 series stainless steel, and professionally TIG welded to the guide.

Also the serrations, that enable to have the sunroof to stay aligned, are reproduced, just like the OEM part.

We have taken the time to evaluate the different design, and process, to make these parts last, and operate, without any compromise. This process took our team close to 18 months to bring this specific part to market. A lot of R&D, and passion about Sciroccos, made this happen!
