On the Gen1 Cayenne, Touareg, and Q7 Chassis, the strut forks are a common weak point on the suspension, and often the first thing to fail. Porsche and VW recognized this and changed the design on steel spring equipped 958s and T3s, but those without updated forks are at risk of failure, which has the potential to cause axle interference and leave you stranded.
These reinforcement plates come with mounting hardware, are 100% bolt in and add significant strength.
