Product Information
Use a mobile jack to raise the wheel suspension until there is approx. 400 mm between the fender edge and the center of the wheel hub to provide the best accessibility to the wheel hub screws.
It is advised by Volvo to apply a 3-4mm bead of grease on the back of the bearing seal lip and make sure all mating surfaces are clean from rust or debris. Volvo also recommends applying high-pressure grease to the axle splines upon reinstallation.
Torque Specs
Rear wheel hub in wheel bearing housing (M12):
- Step 1: 20 Nm
- Step 2: 45 Nm
- Step 3: Angle-tighten 60°
Rear drive shaft bolt (M10):
- 50nm
