However, BMW’s design doesn’t make this easy—the heat exchanger is built directly into the oil filter housing.

That’s where the VTT Remote Oil Cooler Plate comes in. This innovative solution allows you to easily and conveniently remove the factory coolant-supplied heat exchanger on the oil filter housing and replace it with -10AN or -8AN fittings, simplifying the process of running your oil cooler lines. No need to worry about looping the coolant—our plate features a built-in housing that seamlessly loops the coolant circuit for a hassle-free installation.
