Will this tach work on a 1503 3-Cyl Rotax engine? Looking for something that can accommodate a 12 pulse ignition system.

This tachometer is designed to accept the 6 pulse per revolution tach signal present on most large displacement outboards from Mercury, Johnson and OMC. We have no data unfortunately regarding Yamaha outboards.

Hi What do I need to make Product # 200779-35 work with my 6cyl Diesel. I want to connect it to the alternators output for RPM

Thank you for your question. You can use our diesel tach adapter #9112 to use this tach with an alternator. It will not work off an alternator output, you will need to wrap the included signal pickup around the alternator.
