6897 has these features not included on the 6888:
Available wideband channel allows you to expand the Ultimate DL to additionally record air/fuel ratio during your run. Playback the air/fuel ratio on the tachometer or download into DataPro to further analyze the data.
Available pressure channel allows you to expand the Ultimate DL to additionally record fuel pressure, oil pressure, or brake pressure during your run. Playback the pressure channel on the tachometer or download into DataPro to further analyze the data.

We believe MSD offers a tach adapter that will allow you to use this tachometer with their magneto.

Have you guys looked at the instructions for this tach. They only discuss how to mount the driveshaft sensor and how to go thru the menu's. No info at all on wire ID for 12v power/ rpm input etc.!!

Thank you for your inquiry. The 6888 has a shift light output compatible with any of our LED-lit Quick Lites or Super Lites.

Thank you for your inquiry. The 6888 requires a 12 volt DC power source, and a signal that is a 12 volt DC square wave at 4 pulses per crankshaft revolution. You would need to replicate this to operate the tachometer on your Sim racer.
