Product Information

Audi B8 3.0T TFSI Engine Mount Kit

The engine mounts are installed to absorb the vehicle's natural vibrations so the driver and passengers do not feel them. Overtime, the engine mount fail causing excessive engine movement that can damage other engine components. We recommend replacing both engine mounts at the same time because once one fails the other will follow shortly after.

Note: the Audi B8 3.0T engine mounts have an electronic connector that communicates with the ECM. Your check engine light will not illuminate when they fail, but, there will be a fault stored in the ECM for short to ground.

Engine Mount Kit

Engine mounts are designed to keep your engine and transmission supported and fixed to your vehicles frame or sub-frame without causing excessive vibrations that can enter the cabin. Engine mounts keep your drive-train properly aligned and if failed can promote drive train vibrations and premature component wear. Over time, your engine mounts deteriorate resulting in extra engine noise, engine rocking, a less enjoyable driving experience, and thus must be replaced.
