10 piece control arm kit featuring OE Lemforder components designed to service the rear suspension of your E38
If the rear end of your E38 7-series is making sounds over bumps, doesn't handle as well as it used to, or doesn't track straight it is time to replace some components in the suspension front end. Some common wear areas to look for are:
- Control arm bushing play, tears, or complete failure
- Torn ball joint boots or excessive play within the ball joints
- Tie rod end ball joint play or torn boots
- Failed sway bar links, play within the ball joints at the ends
The biggest negative side effect of worn suspension components in the rear of your E38 is uneven or drastic tire wear on the inside of the tire. This happens because the control arms which are directly linked to alignment settings can have so much play that they don't hold alignment. Additionally the ball joint pressed into the rear wheel carrier can also develop so much play that the rear suspension feels like it's wiggling around while driving down the road.
