Product Information
Engine oil in any vehicle is a critical lifeline. Regular servicing not only maintains current levels of performance but also helps reduce wear. BMW recommends an extended service interval of 10,000 miles on the S58 engine. We recommend oil changes every 5,000 miles under normal use to prevent sludge buildup and to ensure that the engine has fresh oil.
Please note: Tightening torque for the M12x1.5 oil drain plugs is 25Nm (~18.5 ft lbs) of torque. The oil filter cap on top of the oil filter housing is to be torqued to 25Nm (~18.5 ft lbs) of torque, the oil filter housing cap o-ring must be lightly oiled prior to installation.
