Product Information
Basic power steering service kit which includes a new power steering reservoir, suction hose, and return hose
Every time you perform a maintenance on your BMW or are doing an inspection it is recommended to look at your power steering system. With age power steering hoses are known to develop leaks requiring replacement. A leaking power steering can cause numerous problems including poor steering feel and performance. Additionally, power steering leaks can damage the power steering pump or steering rack.
This kit also includes a new ZF power steering reservoir which includes the non serviceable filter and a new power steering reservoir cap with seal. It is critical to replace the filter in the system just like you would your engines oil filter. This reservoir does not have a serviceable filter making it a requirement to replace the entire assembly in one unit.
This basic kit will replace the "upper section" of the power steering system. BMW power steering systems come equipped with ATF or CHF.11S. Please identify the color of the fluid in the system and replace accordingly. CHF.11S is yellow while ATF is red.
