BMW Fan Clutch Delete Kit - E36FDMK2

This kit has everything you will need to complete a FDM (Fan Delete Modification), in an E36 M50, S50, M52, and S52 engine. This Fan switch is OE for E36's with 4 cylinder engines up to a build date of 03/97, but is commonly used in the fan clutch delete modification performed on many E36's with 6 cylinder engines with a build date before 09/95. Please confirm your vehicles production date before ordering this switch. This switch will turn the auxiliary fan on low speed at 80 degrees centigrade, and high speed at 88 degrees centigrade. This will turn the auxiliary fan on low speed at 80 degrees Centigrade, and high speed at 88 degrees Centigrade.

Free up a couple ponies and allow easier and smoother revs, especially at low RPMs. Get rid of the stock plastic fan famous for "Grenading" and damaging the hood and other engine bay components.

This kit comes complete with the thin 32mm fan clutch nut wrench, a Hepu water pump with metal impeller, aluminum (NOT the stock plastic) thermostat housing, a lower temperature 80C Vernet thermostat, and a corrected dual temperature auxiliary fan switch (80/88C), with copper o-ring. This kit will remove the mass and resistance of the fan and fan clutch, while maintaining the same or better cooling ability. This is achieved using a lower temperature thermostat and fan switch. Your coolant will begin to flow through the radiator sooner, at a lower temperature, and your condenser fan will turn on at lower temperature for both its high and low speeds. This completely safeguards your cooling system.

Note: Aluminum thermostat housing comes with red gasket already pressed into place.

Please ensure your cooling system is completely up to date. The vast majority of people who have completed this report no issues, but FCP will not be held responsible for any cooling system issues outside of the warranty of the parts included. Please verify the connector style that your auxiliary fan switch has on your E36. There are two different styles. One has a 3 pin round connector and the other is a 3 pin square connector.
