A drain and fill service is one of the easiest pieces of preventative maintenance you can do on your manual transmission equipped BMW. The manual transmission fluid brakes down over time causing excessive notchiness and sloppy shifts. Poor shift feeling can be greatly exacerbated by cold weather before the fluid has been allowed to warm up.

This kit features 2 quarts of Red Line D4 transmission fluid and 2 Genuine BMW drain/fill plugs which must be replaced.

To keep the internals of your BMW's manual transmission properly lubricated we recommend regular drain and fill services every 30,000 miles. To make the drain and fill service easier we recommend using a fluid evacuator or this fluid transfer pump from Wilmar, p/n W1141.
