Prepare the Tool:
Select the appropriate socket from the set based on the size of the damaged wheel stud or Budd nut that needs to be removed.
Attach the Socket to the Impact Wrench:
Attach the selected socket to a 3/4" or 1-1/8" impact wrench, depending on the type of remover being used.
Position the Tool:
Place the socket over the damaged wheel stud or Budd nut. Ensure the internal tapered reverse threads are aligned with the stud or nut.
Engage the Reverse Threads:
Use the impact wrench to slowly rotate the socket in reverse. The tapered threads inside the socket will grip the stud or nut securely.
Remove the Stud or Nut:
Once the stud or nut is firmly engaged, continue using the impact wrench to fully remove it from the wheel assembly.
Inspect the Area:
After removal, inspect the wheel hub for any additional damage or debris and prepare for the installation of new components as needed.
